To get to los cabos you need to drive the entire peninsula, Baja California Norte and Baja California Sur.

Baja 1000, a thousand miles of beauty sea and desert, adventure yourself and take a drive to where the land ends, Los Cabos, the south point in the Baja California Peninsula. A long drive 24 hours by car and 33+ hours by bus.
First you need to get yourself to the Mexican border on the pacific side, famous Tijuana will have all cantinas open and waiting. Buy a Mexican insurance before crossing the border, as your U.S. insurance is not valid in Mexico, find south and drive, follow the paved road and 1000 +/- miles later you will find Cabo San Lucas. A thousand miles of photographic possibilities, a great road for photo hunters, people, nature, vegetation, rock formations, endless opportunities for loosing that shooter in your camera.
From Tijuana to los Cabos most of the street is a narrow single line, Highway Mexico One, MX1, the same street is the main street sometimes the only street in the various town you will encounter, enjoy every little place and be sure, people is friendly and willing to help, enjoy and be sure to stop for gas keep your gas tank as close to full as possible, is hard to know when the next gas station will be closed or out of gas, if you find your self in this situation ask local people in any town (even if it doesn’t have a gas station) where to buy gas, there are several small restaurants and stores that sell Gas at a bit higher price for stranded travelers.
